Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) sought written reply from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate, Nasir Cheema for printing Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s pictures on posters.
Chief election commissioner heard the case of posters, in which CJP and COAS pictures were printed along with PTI candidates for NA-80 (Gujranwala) for elections campaign.
During hearing Commissioner asked Nasir Cheema why he printed CJP and COAS pictures on posters, in respond PTI candidate said the posters for which I was summoned were old and installed before elections schedule.
Commissioner then sought written reply from Nasir Cheema and adjourned hearing till July 9.
