The crown prince held a one-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Imran followed by a luncheon hosted by the premier.
According to sources, bilateral teis, regional and international issues were discussed during the meeting.

Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, who is also the deputy Supreme Commander of the Emirati Armed Forces, will also meet with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa.

The two met last month as well when COAS Bajwa visited Abu Dhabi on December 14.

The visit of the crown prince would further strengthen bonds of friendship between Pakistan and the UAE. This will be the crown prince’s second visit to Pakistan since Prime Minister Imran took office in August 2018.

The last time Sheikh Mohammad had visited Pakistan in January 2019 on the invitation of PM Imran Khan.

The UAE crown prince's visit, which is part of growing exchanges between Pakistan and Arab countries, will take place less than a week after Emirati Minister for Tolerance Sheikh Nahyan bin Mabarak Al-Nahyan met the premier and President Arif Alvi to discuss possibilities of expanding bilateral ties.

Last month, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud had also visited Pakistan for a day-long trip. During his visit, the Saudi FM called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and held a meeting with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
