Lahore (Web Desk): A new weather system has entered various parts of the country, bringing rainfall and snowfall to several cities and northern regions.

According to the Meteorological Department (PMD), rain is ongoing in Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Chaman, Qilla Abdullah, and Pishin, while snowfall has begun at higher altitudes such as Kojak Top, Sheila Bagh, and Loi Band.

Between February 2 and 4, rainfall is expected in most areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with some hilly areas likely to experience snowfall.

Light rain is also forecast in various districts of Punjab, including Murree, Galyat, Multan, Jhang, Sargodha, and Faisalabad. Additionally, rain and snowfall are expected in Chitral, Dir, Kohistan, Swat, and Kalam. The weather in Islamabad and surrounding areas is expected to remain cold and partly cloudy.

Abbottabad and its surrounding areas may also experience rain starting today. Authorities have advised tourists and locals to take precautionary measures during the severe cold and snowfall.
