Rawalpindi (Web Desk): In response to the recent floods, the Pakistan Army has intensified its rescue and relief efforts across various affected regions, including Jhang, Chiniot, and nearby localities.
The army personnel have been deployed to assist people stranded by floodwaters, using boats to transport them to safer grounds. Among those rescued are women, children, and elderly individuals, all relocated from dangerous areas to secure locations.
Working hand-in-hand with the civil administration, the Army is also carrying out operations in multiple flood-impacted districts such as Atari, Head Sulemanki, Renala Khurd, Jandraka, Okara, and Sahiwal. Through these coordinated efforts, a significant number of people and livestock have been moved to safety.
To support displaced families, temporary relief centres have been set up by both military and civilian authorities.
These camps are providing essential supplies, including food, clothing, and medicines, to help meet the immediate needs of flood victims.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Army has also established free medical camps to ensure timely treatment and healthcare support for those affected by the disaster.
