President Zardari, PM Shehbaz felicitate China on 76th National Day

Islamabad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended warm greetings and heartfelt congratulations to the government and people of the People’s Republic of China on the occasion of its 76th National Day.

In his message issued from the Presidency, President Zardari described the day as a symbol of China’s remarkable path of unity, progress, and national development since its founding in 1949.

He said the people of Pakistan were proud to join their Chinese brothers and sisters in celebrating this significant occasion.

Commending the leadership of President Xi Jinping, he credited him with guiding China to new achievements in innovation, sustainable growth, and global outreach.

“President Xi’s vision of people-centric governance, shared prosperity, and a community with a shared future for mankind had become an inspiration for the world,” President Zardari said.

He reaffirmed the strength of the Pakistan-China partnership, calling it time-tested and multifaceted. 
Referring to his recent visits to China, the president said both countries had renewed their commitment to expanding trade, infrastructure projects, and strategic security cooperation.

He also expressed the desire to further boost people-to-people ties in science, education, technology, and culture, which he termed the foundation of their enduring friendship.

Wishing President Xi success and prosperity, President Zardari reiterated the slogan, “Long live the Pakistan-China friendship.”

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his message, congratulated the leadership and people of China on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan.

He emphasized that the bond between the two countries had only strengthened over the years and expressed hope that it would continue to grow further.

The premier said that the National Day was not only a reminder of China’s remarkable national journey but also a recognition of its progress, stability, and contribution to world peace.

PM Shehbaz said that Pakistan took pride in its brotherly ties with China and praised the leadership of President Xi Jinping, under whom China had achieved prosperity and stability that served as a model for the world.

He said relations between the two countries were built on sincerity, trust, and sacrifice, ensuring peace and prosperity for future generations.

Calling his recent visit to China highly fruitful, he noted that historic milestones were reached in strengthening bilateral cooperation, including agreements signed at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting and a business-to-business conference, which resulted in investment deals worth billions of dollars.

He added that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) remained the most important joint economic venture, which had now entered its second phase.
