Islamabad (Web Desk): The government on Monday reduced the price of petrol by Rs2.07 per litre and high speed diesel (HSD) by Rs3.40 per litre effective from October 1.
According to a notification issued by the Finance Division, after the decrease, the new price of petrol has been brought down from Rs249.10 to Rs247.03 per litre while the price of HSD has been reduced to Rs249.69 to Rs246.29 per litre.
Likewise, the price of Kerosene Oil (SKO) was decreased by Rs3.57 per liter and it would be available at Rs154.90 while the price of light Diesel Oil was reduced by Rs1.03 to Rs140.90 per liter.
The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) worked out the consumer prices of petroleum products, based on the price variations in the international market, a news release said.
