Lahore (Web Desk): Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Lahore and discuss the prevailing law and order situation across the country.
During the meeting, the interior minister briefed the prime minister about security arrangements made for Eid-ul-Adha, focusing on the protection of lives, property, and safety of public places.
The interior minister also briefed the prime minister on preparations for the upcoming elections in Gilgit-Baltistan.
He outlined the arrangements put in place to guarantee that the electoral process is conducted peacefully, fairly, and in an organized manner.
Naqvi informed the premier that all required steps have been completed to ensure voters can cast their ballots in a secure and safe environment throughout the elections.
PM Shehbaz praised the efforts of the country's security agencies for their continued role in preserving peace, maintaining stability, and protecting the public.
He further acknowledged the work of the interior minister and his team, commending the comprehensive security measures prepared for the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections.
Reiterating the government's commitment to democratic values, the prime minister affirmed that every necessary step will be taken to support and strengthen the democratic process in the country.
