Karachi (Web Desk): The US dollar recorded a slight decline in the interbank market during the current trading week.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (State Bank of Pakistan), the dollar depreciated by 3 paisa, closing at Rs278.47 in the interbank market. On the previous business day, the dollar was recorded at Rs278.50.
Market experts say that exchange rate movements are influenced by factors such as demand and supply conditions, pressure from import payments, and external financial inflows.
They added that minor fluctuations in the interbank market also reflect overall economic activity and investor confidence in the country.
Business circles and importers, however, view stability in the dollar rate as a positive sign for the economy.
Financial analysts believe that in the coming days, both global and domestic economic conditions may continue to cause fluctuations in the rupee-dollar parity.
