Naval Chief, Belarus delegation discuss defence cooperation

Islamabad (Web Desk): A senior military delegation from the Republic of Belarus, headed by Chief of the General Staff and First Deputy Defence Minister Major General Pavel Muraveiko, paid a visit to Naval Headquarters in Islamabad, where it held talks with Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf.

According to a statement issued by the Directorate General Public Relations (Pakistan Navy), Admiral Naveed Ashraf welcomed the Belarusian delegation upon its arrival at Naval Headquarters.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on a range of professional issues, with particular emphasis on strengthening defence cooperation. Admiral Naveed Ashraf reaffirmed that Pakistan highly values its friendship with Belarus and is committed to developing a lasting and comprehensive partnership across multiple sectors.

Major General Pavel Muraveiko commended the Pakistan Navy for its continued dedication and significant role in safeguarding regional maritime security. The two delegations also agreed to broaden and reinforce their existing bilateral defence cooperation by exploring new avenues of collaboration.
