Pakistan celebrates second day of Eid-ul-Fitr with traditional zeal, festivities

Islamabad (Web Desk): On the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr on Tuesday, the people are celebrating the joyous festival by visiting relatives along with children and felicitating each other.

The families are arranging get together and enjoying food and offering sweets to make the festival memorable.

The people are also visiting picnic places and parks to enjoy the leisure time with children.

The administration and municipal authorities in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi and other big cities have made elaborate arrangements of cleanliness and traffic management besides security measures to prevent any untoward situation.

In the federal capital, Popular attractions include lake view park, Pakistan Monument, F-9 Park, Rose and Jasmine Garden, Ayub national park, and other local parks.

Residents of the twin cities and people from other regions are also heading to Murree for a trip.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), families are visiting recreational places in different areas of the province.
Families particularly children are seen enjoying the swings, merry-go-rounds and trips on water boats at picnic spots.

A large number of youths are visiting tourist resorts including Swat, Kalam, Bahrain, Naran, Kaghan, Galyat and Lake Saiful Maluk.

Eid festivities began yesterday (Monday) with congregational prayers held at mosques, open fields, and Eidgahs across the country.

People gathered in large numbers to offer special prayers for the well-being and prosperity of Pakistan, while also remembering the oppressed Muslim communities around the world.

In particular, heartfelt prayers were raised for the freedom of territories such as Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) , as well as Palestine, where struggles for justice and peace continue.

The spirit of unity and shared hope resonated deeply among the worshippers, as they came together to mark this auspicious occasion.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed their heartfelt Eid greetings to the nation. They highlighted the significance of unity, gratitude, and compassion as core values of Eid ul Fitr.

On the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Fitr, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif shared their warm wishes with the nation, urging everyone to embrace the spirit of togetherness and empathy. They reminded the public that this festive time is not just about celebration, but also about showing appreciation for life’s blessings and extending kindness to those around us.

Their messages emphasized the importance of strengthening national cohesion and supporting one another, especially in times of challenge. It’s a moment to reflect on our shared values and make meaningful contributions to the well-being of others.

Meanwhile, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) and the Service Chiefs also extended their heartfelt Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to all Pakistanis.

Moreover, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir on Monday visited Wana in South Waziristan and Chehkan in Dera Ismail Khan to spend Eid-ul-Fitr with the officers and troops employed on the Western Border.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief offered Eid prayers, and prayed for the enduring stability and prosperity of Pakistan.
During his interaction, the COAS extended warm Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the troops, lauding their unwavering dedication and exemplary service to the nation.
He appreciated the performance of the Armed Forces and LEAs alongside the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) who have always braved against the menace of terrorism.

In acknowledging the formations’ tireless efforts, the COAS attributed their achievements to the sacrifices of our martyrs and those who are committed towards the greater cause of peace and stability.
