Four Pakistani soldiers martyred in cross-border firing from Iran: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Rawalpindi (Web Desk) Four soldiers were martyred when a group of terrorists operating from Iranian side attacked a routine border patrol of Pakistani security forces at Jalgai Sector in District Kech of Balochistan, the military's media wing stated.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Soldiers Naik Shair Ahmed, Lance Naik Muhammad Asghar, Sepoy Muhammad Irfan and Sepoy Abdur Rasheed were critically injured in the attack and later embraced martyrdom.

The ISPR stated that contact is being established with the Iranian side for "effective action against terrorists" and to prevent such incidents in the future.

Earlier on Friday, a soldier of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom while gallantly fighting during a fire exchange between the terrorists and security forces in general area Mir Ali of North Waziristan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the military's media wing stated on Friday.

According to the ISPR, the Army troops fought bravely and effectively engaged the terrorists' location.

The martyred soldier was identified as Sepoy Irshad Ullah (age 29 years, resident of District Karak), having fought gallantly, embraced Shahadat during intense exchange of fire.

The sanitization of the area was being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.

"Pakistan’s Security Forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve," the ISPR said.
